Children and teens love to come to Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee! We support any child or adolescent who has been impacted by cancer – whether they have been diagnosed, are experiencing a family member’s diagnosis, or grieving the death of a loved one. We offer supervised play and therapeutic activities for children ages 5 and older. We also have special groups for teens, and offer family activities throughout the year.
I’m not a “support group person,” is Gilda’s Club right for me?
Gilda’s Club offers much more than support groups. We also offer healthy lifestyle workshops, cooking and nutrition classes, mind-body and movement classes, expressive arts workshops, educational lectures and social events. After attending an Information Session, you simply sign up for whatever suits your interests, availability and energy. When you meet with a clinical program staff member, we may make some suggestions, but you get to control how involved you’d like to be in the Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee community. (No pressure, but have you met Steve? He didn’t think he was a support group person either.)
